Highlights from Thursday, July 15th 2004

Thursday:

It was apparent what the highlight of Thursday was for most people... The Pontiac Performance Test Drive!  Words fail to catch the exhilaration that the passengers felt when they rode with the pros (instructors from The Bondurant School of Driving) in their now famous "Hot Laps"!  The Pontiac Performance Test Drive also let the spectators get behind the wheel of a new 2004 GTO among other vehicles including the new Bonneville, GXP and Vibe.  Also, every hour the pros held a "Drifting Demo", this is where they are basically maintaining a controlled slide (burning rubber the whole time) through a figure eight-like course.  Very impressive and expensive I'm sure!

But wait, there's more!  In addition to the Performance Test Drive, there was the Greek Town Casino trip, plus seminars by Jim Mattison, Jim Wangers, Dennis Kirban and Peter Serio.  Unfortunately we don't have any pictures from the casino trip (they have some crazy thing about security... go figure!).
